Things I learned This Week says...
"I had issues in the past with Word Press. I felt uneasy about the fact users were able to hack into other users accounts through plugins. Also a number of their plugins conflict with one other. That is the problem with an open source environment. For those who want to spend lots of time "under the hood" of the plugins and CSS, open source is the way to go.
For users like me, I want an experience that is conducive for writing and publishing because that is all I want to do on my blog and on the internet. Having switched over to SquareSpace.com, that has been my experience. It is incredibly comprehensive, everything works, no compatibility issues.
SquareSpace.com is a great value for your money which is important in today's economy. Overall, my experience with SquareSpace has been extremely, extremely positive with my wordsushi.com site. I think SquareSpace.com is pretty damn cool.”

If you've ever built a website or hired someone to build it for you, then you might know how frustrating of an experience that can be and alternatively you will appreciate how amazing Squarespace is. Not only can you build your own site without knowledge of coding or css or html or anything like that, you can instantly change the fonts and colors and layout without calling your web designer and paying them to do it for you. Squarespace has set it up so that lots of the modules you can drag and drop which I personally love.
This is the kind of product that makes web design doable for pretty much everyone. See, I used to build websites for a living and I can tell you, I'm glad I'm not a web designer now, cuz I would hate Squarespace for putting me out of business! They're putting the power back into the hands of the person whose web site it is! I've looked at every 'build it yourself' web design tool that comes out to help out my friends and Squarespace is the best one. They have tutorial videos to walk you through each step and an online manual that is equally easy to use.
Most people just want to get the web site up and not have to learn a whole new set of rules for coding everything so it will work in every browser. Squarespace allows the user to just 'Get Going!' and get your site online. That is what makes it a winner.
The key here is that you have all the tools you need at an incredibly low price to build a super slick web site for your band or your photography or whatever business or service you have. You can give it a test drive to see for yourself how easy it is to use. Trust me, you'll be blown away like I was.

After using a ton of different blog platforms including: Xanga, MySpace, Blogger, WordPress and a couple others, I was wearing of jumping onto the squarespace wagon. I have been through the pain of moving blogs over or at least attempting to.
But when I signed up for SquareSpace in June I was all in. I went in to import my blog and within 24 hours all my posts from WordPress had been imported and organized. It even kept my categories and tags for each post. You don't get that with other platforms. Then to top that off, the ease of use of SquareSpace. Any one can use it. Even my dad, who doesn't even know how to sync an iPod, could design a SquareSpace site. That is how easy it is. The ability to edit the pre-existing themes to make it match you and your personality is incredible. I can't count the amount of money I have shelled out over the years for custom designed themes that I had to pay more for when I wanted just a little tweak.
The WYSIWYG editor is incredible. Also the widgets are flawless. The ability to drab and drop what I want where I want is the real deal maker here for me. No more having to figure out what code to use and trying to track down the errors when it doesn't work. But don't take my word for it. Head over to SquareSpace.com right now and try it for free for 14 days. No credit card is needed, Nothing gets charged after your trial. If you decide to stay with SquareSpace sign up and pay. It is worth every penny.
